Our 2026 Annual Symposium is now open for registration

We are delighted to announce that our 2026 Annual Symposium is now open for registration. The event will take place on 23 April 2026 at the IET, 2 Savoy Place London – conveniently located within walking distance of Waterloo and Charing Cross stations. The theme of the day is ‘evidence into practice’ and we have a wide variety of speakers and sessions confirmed.

After a welcome from our new CEO Katy Saunders, we will kickstart the day by revealing who the Vivensa Academy Excellence Award winners are – in the Rising Star, Senior Leader and new Team Achievement categories. The next session will unpack the ‘evidence into practice’ theme, with a number of speakers sharing recommendations for successful community-research partnerships.

After poster viewing and lunch will be a fireside chat. Our Chief Investment Officer Andrew Gnaneswaran will be in conversation with Charlie Blair, Founder of The Blair Academy – a social enterprise centred on healthy happy ageing through hip hop dance.

Undoubtedly keeping the energy high, next on stage will be Dr Helen Nuttall and Dr Kate Slade for a live recording of their podcast, Drs Confess. They will be joined by some special guests (to be announced soon) and there will be a chance for audience members to ask questions too.

After a break, the final session of the day will be our research showcase – a chance to listen to five of our inspirational award-holders sharing what they are working on.
