We are pleased to announce the publication of our latest Annual Report (covering the period February 2025 – February 2026) and our updated Action Plan in support of the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers (commonly known as the Researcher Development Concordat).
The Concordat is a national agreement between four key stakeholder groups (funders, institutions, researchers and research managers), designed to improve three core principles – environment and culture; employment; and career development in higher education within the UK. We became a signatory of the Concordat in March 2020.
Our annual report and action plan form part of our commitment, demonstrating transparency and accountability in how we support the research community. Both reports outline the progress we have made over the past year, highlighting areas where further work is needed, and sets out our priorities for the year ahead. They reflect our continued dedication to strengthening research culture, improving support for researchers at all career stages, and improving the financial sustainability of the work we support. Further examples of our commitment and approach to capacity building can be read in our previous impact case study.
