Supported by NIHR, this course aims to help you to understand inclusion, diversity and underrepresented voices in the context of public involvement in research

After completing this course you should:

  • Understand what is meant by diversity, underrepresented voices, and public involvement in research
  • Understand why diverse perspectives and inclusive practices benefit health and social care research
  • Identify key barriers that discourage or prevent underrepresented communities from being involved or taking part in research
  • Describe strategies that can make research more diverse and inclusive
  • Evaluate how well your strategies for inclusive diverse research are working.
