What it’s like to be on our Investment Committee

The Vivensa Foundation’s Investment Committee consists of eight members, including CEO Katy Saunders and Chief Investment Officer Andrew Gnaneswaran. It is responsible for investing our £180m endowment across public and private market asset classes, alongside social investments. As we continue our journey to become an impact-intentional investor, we chat to Aidan Kearney, Martin Rich and Amelie Montague about what it’s like to serve on the Investment Committee.

Yesterday was the live final of the Endowments Investing Challenge – an initiative that invited the investment industry to create a bold portfolio that prioritises long-term positive impacts on future generations alongside financial returns for a mandate of up to £50 million. 

Launch of the Amar bari, amar jibon research report

Last week (5/2/26) our CEO Katy Saunders and Senior Grants Manager Oliver Soutar were invited to the House of Lords for a special event hosted by Lord Best. It was the launch of the research report ‘Amar bari, amar jibon (My home, my life): Developing suitable living environments for Bangladeshi elders.’

Our 2026 Annual Symposium is now open for registration

We are delighted to announce that our 2026 Annual Symposium is now open for registration. The event will take place on 23 April 2026 at the IET, 2 Savoy Place London – conveniently located within walking distance of Waterloo and Charing Cross stations. The theme of the day is ‘evidence into practice’ and we have a wide variety of speakers and sessions confirmed.

From clinic to campus: A nurse’s path to PhD research

When Sandra Dyer started her PhD at King’s College London’s Cicely Saunders Institute in February 2025, it marked the end of a years-long journey – one that included two fellowship applications, job changes, and moments of questioning whether research was “for nurses like me.” But here’s what she learned: the path into research isn’t always linear, and for any emerging researchers, resilience and a strong support network make all the difference.
