The Marie Curie Research into Practice Conference will take place on Zoom Events the week commencing Monday 22 February 2027.
The conference brings together experts to ensure that evidence is widely disseminated, helping to close the gap in end of life care by improving the care and support for people at the end of life, and the people who care for them.
To submit an abstract, please complete and submit this form. Deadline for abstract submissions is Friday 23 October 2026. Authors will be informed about decisions in November 2026.
This year the conference is highlighting research that explores::
- effective and reliable methods of identifying people with palliative care needs, including the use of AI;
- care coordination and communication, including for people with multimorbidity and innovations in digital health:
- implementation and/or delivery of personalised palliative and end of life care;
- 24/7 service provision, including access to medicines, symptom control, out of hours and urgent and emergency care:
- care close to home, including community care, and care in care homes;
- training and support for palliative and end of life healthcare workforce.
Any submission should have equity and patient and public involvement as integral components.
