Age without limits, representation without limits

Today is Age Without Limits Day, a campaign organised by the Centre for Ageing Better with the theme Celebrate Ageing. Challenge Ageism. The idea is that when we celebrate ageing, we challenge the negative beliefs and actions connected to older age.

2025 UK Ageing Research Funders’ Forum Early-career Researcher event

The UKARFF ECR event, jointly hosted by the Vivensa Foundation, Health Foundation, BBSRC and MRC was held in-person at the Health Foundation offices in London on 7th February 2025. The event was attended by 60 ECRs, with talks and posters from ECRs, a question and answer session with the Chief Medical Officer for England, Professor Sir Chris Whitty, and a talk from Professor Catherine Green, with a focus on research translation and public engagement.

Introducing our 2024/25 Proleptic Postdoctoral Fellows

This Fellowship scheme supports post-doctoral researchers as they transition to a permanent position within academia. We would like to welcome our recently appointed Proleptic Post-Doctoral Fellows: Dr Claire Hill and Dr Mark Burton.

2025 Annual Symposium

On 29th April 2025 we hosted our Annual Symposium at the Wellcome Collection in London. We opened with lunch and an opportunity to peruse posters. And there was “merch” available in goody bags to celebrate the launch of our new name. If the buzz of conversation was any indicator, some great new connections were being made.
