Alzheimer’s Research UK is organising an interactive Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Masterclass, hosted virtually by their partner, British Neuroscience Association (BNA). The event will be on the 30 September 2026 (14:00 – 17:00).
Hear from headline speaker Professor Tara Spires-Jones (University of Edinburgh), alongside early-career researchers Dr Calum Hamilton (Newcastle University), Dr Nathasia Mudiwa Muwanigwa and Dr Sabrina Kalam (University College London), and Alzheimer’s Research UK Research Involvement Manager Anna Goodman. Together, they’ll explore how meaningful collaboration with patients and the public can elevate neuroscience research.
From communicating science and involving people affected by dementia in shaping research, to building meaningful relationships with diverse communities, the session will showcase different approaches to PPIE in practice.
The 3-hour training event is free for researchers funded by Alzheimer’s Research UK.
